Welcome to West Africa’s Leading print and Textiles Brand – GTP.

GTP is the first indigenous Ghanaian textile brand launched unto the Ghanaian market in Jan 1966 by the late Osegyefo Dr Kwame Nkrumah, Ghana’s first President.

GTP is designed, printed, distributed and marketed by Tex Styles Ghana Limited (TSG), a member of the global Textile giant VLISCO BV headquartered in Helmond, The Netherlands. The Company is located at the Heavy Industrial Area, Block No 22, Plot No 7, Tema, C4, Ghana.

GTP has three sister brands – WOODIN which is also designed, produced and sold by TSG; VLISCO which is imported from the parent company in The Netherlands and UNIWAX which is produced in Ivory Coast by another subsidiary of Vlisco BV.

THE JOURNEY SO FAR

1966:

Example Title 1

GTP Factory incorporated as GHANA TEXTILES PRINTING COMPANY LTD.

1976

Government of Ghana assumes majority shareholding; United African Company (UAC) retains management control.

1982

Example Title 3

Workers ejected UAC management and took over the factory; Offshore Shareholders (UAC and Vlisco) disenfranchised.

1994

Unilever resumes management control.

1998

Gamma Holding represented by Vlisco buys out Unilever.

2004

Company name changes to TEX STYLES GHANA LIMITED (TSG).
